In the near future, probably to be expected expansion of production
nanosensors - safety and quality indicators. They can supply vacuum packing
abuse of re -freezing of spoilage (on allocation of the relevant gases). It is very
important for buyers - as a rule, they are guided by the expiration date on the
label and are forced to trust implementers. The author, an extensive review,
devoted to the problems of nano packaging (as well as food safety) provides
examples of different nanosensors.
For example, in the oxygen sensor used for the photoactivated
nanoparticles TiO

. When oxygen enters the indicator inside the package
gradually changes color (Figure 24): Left - unbroken packaging.
Right - hit with oxygen inside the packaging indicator (bottom) turns blue.
Figure 24. Polymer film with addition of nanocomposites
(In particular nanoclay silicate) enhancing the barrier properties of the
packaging material.
Nano packaging have already begun to introduce into the market. Different
options have been developed. This polymeric material containing nanoparticles;
nanocoating on the inner side of the package; Nanomaterials "second
generation" from a functional surface.
Nano packaging provides protection against microbes, UV does not pass
certain gases, moisture and odors. In November 2011 Anatoly Chubais opened
in Kazan plant for the production of flexible packaging using nanotechnology
Ltd. "Danaflex -Nano" (in German equipment). From December 1, 2011 in this
high barrier multilayer nano package yield "Maheev" (mayonnaise, ketchup,
jams, etc.).
The penetration of gas, oxygen above all, difficult layered structure formed
in the thickness of a nanocomposite film. Now, during transportation and storage
quality will not be degraded.
